Rappahannock is playing in the two-weekend Fauquier Bash tournament for the first tifiie, and so far the Panthers h^ve held their own against competition from Group AA and AAA schools. ; J The Panthers started the tourney with a 1-0 victory over Liberty on March 22. Two days later, they lost to Culpeper 2-1 and beat Fauquier 5-4 on March 24.

Heflin pitched a completegame shutout against Liberty, allowing two hits and striking out five Eagles batters. The Panthers had a good day in the field, too, committing just one error.

Rappahannock wracked up six hits in the game with Tupper leading the way at the plate. The senior batted 2 for 3, including a double that brought Heflin home for the game-winning run in the top of the seventh inning.
