In a win over Page County, Rappahannock broke a 3-3 tie with two runs in the eighth. Chase Tupper doubled and moved to third on Travis Jenkins’ single. An RBI groundout from Nathan Hartshorn and a run-scoring error gave the Panthers a 5-3 Jead.
Page County scored once in the bottom of the eighth off Russell. None of its runs were earned.
“I started to take Ethan out a couple of times, but I went with my heart instead of my head, and I’m glad I did,” Jenkins said. “I really wanted him to get a win.”
