A citizen recently suggested that it costs $25,000 (of the School Board budget) to fund the football program

FACT; The 2006-2007 School Board budget includes the following expenses for football

Coaching stipends for three Varsity and three JV Coaches = $13,559 (including FICA)

Refurbishing Football helmets= 2,500

Tbtal= $16,059

According to RCHS Principal Roger Mello, The Rappahannock County School Sports Association (RCSSA) paid for the initial outlay of equipment for the football program.

FACT: All other annual expenses of the football program are covered by game gate receipts and RCSSA contributions.
