It began early Saturday morning as a group of 24 bikers revved up their engines . They left from the Rappahannock County High School, turned onto U.S. 211 and hit the road.
At a cost of roughly $20 per rider, they left to raise monies for the families of the April 16 Virginia Tech tragedy.
As they traveled to Blacksburg, they were joined by other bikers until they numbered over 300 as they cruised into the Virginia Tech campus for the first Hokie Spirit Memorial Ride.
