SWCD serves, consisting of Culpeper, Greene, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock Counties.
Applicants must be full time students enrolled in or who have applied to a college undergraduate or graduate program related to soil and water conservation, natural resource management, animal science, environmental science, or other related programs.
For 2007, the District chose one student from Rappahannock County High School.
Anna A. Oehserreceived $1,000 to attend Allegheny College in Pennsylvania in the fall, where she will major in Environmental Science. Anna has a GPA of 4.0 and is ranked 4 out of 84 students in her class at Rappahannock County High School. During her time at RCHS, Anna has been active in National Honor Society, Student Council Association, Scholastic Bowl and Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection.
