The fourth running of the $200,000 Virginia Oaks, highlight of the $1 million Virginia Derby (gr. II) undercard on July 21 at Colonial Downs, drew 66 early nominations. Graded stakes winners Street Sounds, Valbenny, Sharp Susan, Bear Now and Sealy Hill highlight the early nominations list.

Hidden Creek Farm’s Street Sounds is three for four on the turf, including two stakes wins. The Street Cry filly scored her biggest win earlier this spring in the $250,000 Beaumont Stakes (gr. II) on Keeneland’s polytrack. Street Sounds was most recently an easy 5 3/4length winner of the Hilltop Stakes at Pimlico. Michael Matz trains Street Sounds.
