PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING CHAPTER OF THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY CODE ALLOWING AUTO SALES, REPAIR AND/OR SERVICE IN THE HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT BY SPECIAL USE PERMIT Upon application of a property owner, the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia, shall hold a public hearing on Monday, July 2, 2007, at 7:00PM at the Courthouse on Gay Street in Washington, VA, to consider the following text amendment to Chapter 170 of the Rappahannock County Code, Zoning (§170-1 et seq.): Amend the zoning matrix in §170-36E. by placing a “SP” in the column for HC, Highway Commercial, zoning district for the use “Auto sales, repair and/or service” On June 20, 2007 this proposed amendment shall be considered by the Rappahannock County Planning Commission, which shall make a recommendation on the proposed amendment to the Board of Supervisors, and then shall be considered by the Board of Supervisors, which may vote on the amendment on July 2. < This amendment has been proposed by Willie and Cathern Smith in accordance with §15.2-2286 A. 7 of the Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended, and with §170-134B.(1) of the Rappahannock Code.
