Breakfast Fund raiser
Come and enjoy a country breakfast at the Flint Hill Fire Hall on June 23, From 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or until the food runs out. The Methodists are famous for their outstanding cooking! A love offering will be accepted. During the breakfast you will enjoy music by Richard Brady.
There will be plenty of homemade baked goods on sale! Mary Frances Bywater’s famous pies, Jean Lillard’s good cream cheese brownies! There win be a silent auction from 8:30 until noon, featuring dinner for two donated by The Inn At Little Washington, plus many antique items including a daw leg bathtub, beveled glass mirror, glass items, table linens, office equipment and many other wonderful items. Several tables will be set up with tagged items varying in price. A king-size homemade quilt has been donated, which will be on display at the breakfast. A $5 donation for one opportunity and $10 for three opportunities! The fund raising event is being sponsored by the Rappahannock United Methodist Charge to benefit the Rappahannock United Methodist Parsonage Fund.

Teach Life Stories Workshops

Ki Theatre is offering the annual three day Train the Trainer Life Stories Workshop. The dates are June 29 through July 1 in Washington, Virginia. Train the Trainer is designed for participants who ' want to facilitate life stories workshops, develop their own story-writing and teaching skills, help students and clients of ail ages recognize and connect with their own stories. 21 Continuing Education Units are available for those who register. The workshop is taught by Julie POrtman, artistic director of Ki Theatre. Julie is a New York Obie award winning theatre artist and writer who has developed and taught the Life Stories Workshop process at Retreat Centers, for not for profit organizations, the United States Senate Staff and a breadth of educational institutions throughout North America. In the Piedmont area, 500 people have participated in Ki Theatre’s life stories workshops. Baby Bear Daycare and Preschool of Sperryville will be sponsoring a charity lemonade stand at the Sperryville July 4th Celebration. There wiU be ice cold lemonade and baked goodies made by the children at Baby Bear Daycare and Preschool. ALL proceeds will go to benefit the Children’s Miracle
