Many thanks to that fantastic teacher Scott Schlosser and the wonderful students who contributed to the production of the Sperryville Village signs: Daniel Santos, Matt Adams, Sarah Elliott, Richard Gallihugh, Sergio Cordero, Nathan Grant, Dean Hogan, Ariel' Hollins, Mike Horton, Tony Kestner, Andrew Lee, Hunter Minder, Mike Padilla, Willie Southard, and Kyle Settle.
A community group met several times to make a few changes to the sign design of our creative architect Tom Tepper, and to approve lettering and colors. The high school students took over production and they were off! We met with Dave Cubbage from VDOT who then gave approval for sign location. Ronnie Dodson and his crew installed the signs with Tom Junk, who had prepared the paper work for the sign permits. We will soon be filling in the letters with the yellow paint to make them more visible. This is the final Gateway Project, chaired by Tom Junk, that completed the improvements to the road drainage system on Main Street and the foot bridge over the Thornton River.
Scott and his students have made a contribution to the community that is very much appreciated. The group worked under time pressure and the signs were completed and installed
