William Franklin “Woody” Woodward, 64, of Amissville, VA died June 4, at Fauquier Hospital.
He was born Oct. 16, 1942 in Culpeper County, a son of the late David Lee Woodward and Ella Mae Bayne Woodward.
Mr. Woodward was a graduate of Rappahannock County High School. Until his retirement, he worked as the manager of the Division of Motor Vehicles office in Culpeper. One of his favorite pastimes was enjoying horse racing at Charles Town.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine Jenkins Woodward; two brothers- Shirley L. Woodward of Fredericksburg, VA and David L. Woodward, Jr. of Culpeper.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brotherDonald Woodward.
The family received friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. Interment at the family cemetery on the Jenkins Home Place near Viewtown.
