As a part of Virginia Career Week, the Rappahannock County Public Schools are continuing their commitment to helping students plan their futures with various career-oriented activities. Director of Guidance, Jason ' Gochenour and Guidance Counselor, Dani Pond, received professional training in the Kuder Career Planning System, an assessment test that will be offered to students in the coming weeks. Teachers Elizabeth Blubaugh (Spanish, Leadership Development) and Lisa Jones (Business Law, Accounting, Keyboarding) have invited community members to make presentations to students about career planning. Art teacher, Joy Sours, had her students make a display on various art careers. Headwaters’ Next Step Program, which provides ongoing career planning, interview, and resume help, will take 30 students to see six Virginia Colleges on October 11th and 12th. These are just a few of the exciting events that will be taking place in the schools this week.
