Sports Specialist

Plan and implement year round countywide sports camps, clinics, and instructional programs for youth and adults. Will assist in sports league scheduling and facility supervisor scheduling. Provide back-end, administrative support to leagues including policy recommendations and interpretation. Facilitate relationship between Loudoun County Public Schools and leagues to include negotiating access to school sites and providing problem resolution. Serve as liaison to sports leagues/ independent teams. Provide employee, volunteer training and front-line customer service to public. Assist with management/operations of local and national spent tournaments & events. May require occasional evening/weekend work. Required to be available as contact for sports leagues and facility supervisors on a subject to call rotating basis. Bachelor s degree in recreation or related field and 2 years directly related work experience. Prefer experience with automated scheduling system. Prefer Certified Parks & Recreation Professional.
