Foliage changes and
hunting season
The consensus seems to be that the leaf colors won’t be as dramatic this year as they normally are. People say they are going to turn brown and fall off I have a reference maple tree that stands on the line between my neighbors Mrs. Lee and Randy Clark. It is really a group of maples, but the one in the center usually turns a crimson red while the others are still green.
This year, the one in the middle has changed from green to what the oil painters call burnt umber, it is almost a mahogany color. The brilliant red did not make a showing this year.
I am also concerned about our hunting season weather. I haven’t been out with the bow this year. It’s just been so very warm, that I don’t have the enthusiasm I need to get out there. That, and a shoulder that is not cooperating the way it
