Tis the season for church Homecomings! Flint Hill Baptist Church celebrates 153 years of ministry to the community this Sunday, Oct 14, at 11 a.m. The guest speaker is Rev. Michael Williams, chaplain at Randolph Macon Academy. There will be special music by the RMA Cadets and Jackson Hall. Following the worship service, everyone is invited to continue the celebration at the Flint Hill Fire Hall for a covered dish lunch.
Willis Chapel United Methodist Church in Huntly, kicks off her Homecoming Sunday with a covered dish luncheon at 1 pan. followed by a worship service. Evangelist David Clanagan will bring the word and music. And if you missed last year's historical reenactment of the “Sacrifice of Albert Willis,” you will have another opportunity to learn about the history ofWillis Chapel at noon on Saturday at the Festival of Leaves in Front Royal.
