Masters pleads guilty to Cast let on break-in
Grahm Rexford Masters pleaded guilty on Oct. 4 to breaking into his neighbor’s house on March 18, 2006, and stealing several items, including a .22-caliber longrifle, ammunition and a fly-fishing rod, which he later sold to a pawn shop.
On Sept. 6, Masters pleaded guilty to a separate breaking and entering in which he stole an estimated $19,500 worth of equipment from Rappahannock County High School. When Masters was caught selling the school’s property to a pawn shop in Prince William County, police were able to connect him to the Castleton burglary. They found that he previously had sold some items from his neighbor’s house to the same pawn shop.
The 26-year-old Castleton man’s guilty pleas in both breaking-and-entering cases were in exchange for an agreement by the commonwealth to not prosecute charges for grand larceny of a firearm by a felon and the possession/transportation of a firearm by a felon. His sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 6.
Drunk in court
Daniel R. Jackson, 69, of Culpeper, was arrested on Oct. 2 at the Rappahannock County Courthouse for being drunk in public. Deputy' Robert Fincham made the arrest around 4 p.m.
Forgery in check
Mary Elizabeth Donovan, 43, of 23 Parkway Lane in Spenyville, was arrested Saturday for multiple counts of check forgery.
Lt. Connie Smith said she has at least 16 checks that Donovan forged and attempted to use. The checks were written for values between $20 and $350.
Donovan was arraigned for the charges on Oct. 9 in Rappahannock County General District Court. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Nov. 13. She
