Rappahannock County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Bob Chappell said the schools will begin mowing in the spring, and will need to find someone before, then.
Chappell said that the fields are typically mowed about once a week, but this past summer was different.
“The fields were mowed less than it had been anticipated that they might require,” he said.
He said the schools will be reviewing contract bids for the job in the coming months.
