The Concerned Taxpayers of Rappahannock County held its second meeting Dec. 12. The gathering attracted a dozen attendees, including Schools Superintendent Dr. Robert Chappell.
Chappell went to the meeting at the Rappahannock County Library, where he listened to complaints about the public schools’ expanding budget, shrinking enrollment and the manner in which School Board meetings are conducted.
Tom Junk, a Sperryville resident who organized the group, encouraged everyone to request a printed version of the full school budget to study the numbers.
