Public Notice Landfill A Flatwood Refuse A Recycling Center Holiday Closings The Rappahannock County Sanitary Landfill will be closed to the public at noon on Thanksgiving Eve (November 21), and all day Thanksgiving Day (November 22). It will also close at noon on Christmas Eve (December 24) and New Year’s Eve, and all day Christmas Day (December 25) and New Year’s Day (January 1). All other days during the holiday season will have normal hours of operation (Monday through Saturday 7:30-5:30, closed Sunday). The Flatwood Refuse and Recycling Center will be closed at noon on Thanksgiving Eve and all day on Thanksgiving Day. The regular hours are Wednesday and Thursday 7:00AM to 7:00PM, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 9:00AM to 7:00PM - closed Monday and Tuesday.
