Fauquier Hospital receives
Achievement Award
For Appropriate Care Measure for Heart Attack
Richmond, VA- Fauquier Hospital received the Virginia Health Quality Center Bronze Achievement Award for excellence in quality improvement measures.
The award recognizes Fauquier Hospital based on the hospital’s excellence in meeting specific goals in quality care measures in Acute Myocardial Infarction (heart attack.). It is presented by the Virginia Health Quality Center (VHQC), Virginia’s Quality Improvement Organization (QIO).
“We are delighted to recognize Fauquier Hospital as a partner and congratulate them on their achievements,” said Donald A Glozer, President and CEO of the VHQC.
“It is important to note that the Bronze award represents hospitals in Virginia that achieved their goals in one or multiple clinical areas. These hospitals have also sustained their levels of care for an extended period of time,” continued Glozer.
Success was measured according to indicators set by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations i JCAHO).
The awards were presented at the VHQC Outcomes Congress on December 4, 2007 in Richmond, Virginia.
