Overturned vehicle
A Luray woman was transported to Fauquier Emergency Room on Dec. 12 after her vehicle overturned on Lee Highway, according to the Virginia State Police.
Renita Green was driving eastbound on U.S. 211 around 2:50 p.m. when she lost control of her 2004 Ford Contour, according to the report. The 54year-old ran off the left shoulder, over-corrected and struck an embankment, causing her car to flip over. Green sustained minor injuries; an estimated $5,000 worth of damage was done to the vehicle.
The accident occurred about a tenth-of-a-mile west of the Rappahannock County Library. State Trooper Christopher Roop reported to the scene and charged Green with failure to main tain control of her vehicle.
Glass thrower
A county woman was charged with simple assault Dec. 13 after she threw a drinking gla§s at her husband, according the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office.
