Beth and Eric Hilscher want to recognize the passion in others that so many recognized in their daughter Emily; They hare created this award which will be administered by Headwaters in memory and in celebration of Emily Jane Hilscher who was one of the first victims in the Virginia Tech shootings this past April.
Teachers and administrators will submit their nominations for the award to Miranda Hope, Director of the Nest Step Program, or Jason Gochenour, Director of Guidance, by April 15 of each year. The nominations will be gathered - with identifiable information removed—and give* to the Hilscher family for consideration. Depending on the amount of funds available, more than one award can be given or none in any given year if there an not suitable candidates.
