We congratulate the girls cm their success and are proud to know that Virginia representatives to the National 4-H club Congress1 will be furnished by Rappahannock County. Just to show what fun the girls had here's the menu for the big banquet at Chicago, (held December 1, 1925) : seafood combination cocktail, celery, mixed nuts, boiled migron of beef, elamart, potatoes au gratin and peas paysanne, heart of lettuce salad with thousand island dressing, hazelnut parfait, assorted cakes and milk, completd the menu.
Besides this banquet, they attended another at the Hotel La Salle and a complimentary dinner at the “Gold Room” Congress Hotel.
Maybe there were “competent chaperons” but here’s a boy’s autograph on one banquet program. 4-H members just haven’t changed a bit. At the Congress in 1952, they drank over 1300 cokes a day and the hotel ran out.
