Newman were made All Stars.
In 1930 there was a drought and the district Short Course was not held Ned Jones was elected president of State Short Course which is one of the highest a member can have. Anna Keser was elected scribe of the All Stars, a great honor also, as this grdup includes only outstanding 4-H club members. Thomas Wiliams was made an All Star. Dorothy Wood judged com at the state contest at the fair and won third . place. Livestock judging team was: Morgan Johnston, Charles Wood and Brue Wood and they won fourth place in the state.
In 1^31 because of drought th^re was no district short course. John Wood was elected unanimously president of the State Short Course for this year. Anna. Keyser was elected to fill a vacancy for the office of secretary. When you consider that there were between five hundred and a thousand boys and girls at these Short Courss, this was a very great honor.
