Mr*. Floyd Hitt entertained on Sunday afternoon a group of friends for her son, Dannie in honor of his first birthday. Floyd Hitt was in Washington, D. C. a few days this week on business. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Jenkins and sons of Indian Head, Maryland spent the week end with Mr. Jetjldns’s mother, Mrs. Ida Jenldns of Amissville.

Miss Laura Doyle and mother were in Culpeper for the day Monday.

Mrs. W. A. Laing Jr. and family* visited Mrs. Using's parents in New Baltimore last week.

Miss Jacklin Marcell was a recent overnight guest of Miss Katie Laing. Mrs. Charlie Compton was a Thursday afternoon guest of her sister, Mrs. Joseph Button imjefferson.

Miss Sarah Sites was a guest of Mrs. Charlie Moss on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Mrs. Will Latham, who has been sick with the flu, is able to be out again. Mr. and Mrs. John Tapp, Mr. and Mrs. Iva Jacobs and son, spent last Friday in Culpeper. Mrs. Richie Colvin was a Wednesday afternoon guest of Mrs. John Heflin in Jeffersonton. • Mrs. Graham Hackley spent Thursday in Washington, D. C. _ Mrs. Charlie Compton was a guest Thursday afternoon of Mrs. Charlie Moss. Miss Virginia Tapp and Mrs. Jack Pearman spent Thursday in Warrenton. * Miss Lee DowdeN is on an extended visit to Miss Mary Hughes of Richmond. Mrs. John Tapp was a recent guest of Mrs. Jack Pearman.

Mrs. Florence Johnson returned home on Monday after a visit in Washington, D, C. and Arlington. Mrs., Bertha Poe of Laurel, Maryland is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johnson and Mrs. Florence Johnson.

The W. M. S. of Mt. Lebanon Baptist church met at the home of Mrs. Clyde Courtney on Saturday afternoon with 8 members present? The H. D. club will not meet on Friday as the Home Agent has to be in Charlottesvlile for a meeting that day but will meet on March 20. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Burke and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burke of Culpeper were Sunday afternoon callers of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Orange and Mrs. Albert Burke. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson, Mrs. R. H. Carder and Misses Lillie and Nellie Johnson were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Ryan on Saturday evening at their new home on Nottingham Ave. in Culpeper. Another guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan was Mrs. Jane Utx of Etlan. Mius Amy Brown of Culpeper spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Dulaney.
