MA Vision From the Mountain” was the subject for the program of the meeting of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service held on Wednesday evening at 7:30 o’dock in the home of Mrs. C. Ennis Brown. After the opening with singing “The Morning Light Is Breaking” the president read die scripture lesson followed by prayer. Several interesting readings were given and then a very successful business session was held. Those present were Mrs. George W. Brown, Mrs. Ann Aylor, Mrs. Catherine Brown, Mrs. B. H. Weddle, Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Mrs. Lee Swindler, Misses Della and Buelah Hitt During the social, refreshments wxre served by the hostess assisted by Miss Betty Taylor Bruce.
BRIDGE PARTY
Mrs. George L. Taylor entertained the bridge club and additional guests on Friday evening at “Grandview,” her home near SperryviUe. Her guests were Mrs. Carroll Menefee, Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Miss Louise O’Bannon, Mrs. P. Lee Thornton, Mrs. John P. Snead and her house guest, Mrp. H. C. Warwick, Mrs. Irvin Kilby^Mrs. Charles T. Bruce, Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. George Davis, Mrs. Lewis J. Turner, Mrs. R. E Wood, Mrs. C. H. H. Branch, Mrs. C. E Johnson, Jr., Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer,. The hostess awarded a high score prize to each table which went to Mrs. Thornton, Mrs. Warwick, Mrs. Snead and Miss O’Bannon.
