County Plans
For 1953
In 1953 the clubs in the county plan to have two county wide projects, Rural Electrificaltion and Tractor Maintenance. The Elecrric project is conducted by representatives of our neighboring power companies who give the instruction in wiring, reading meters and changing fuses. Each member learns how to wire a lamp and btlild a brooder.
In the tractor project boys, learn how to keep the tractor in good running condition at all times. It is not to teach how to repair the machine byt how to keep it in better order so that R does not need so many repairs. The classes in this project are taught by a representative of a tractor company or dealer. One of the most exciting contests at Short Course is the Tractor Driving Contest. Boys who have won District prize in this project drive a tractor through a course that in minutes. While records count 75% on this contest tl^ey realty handle their wheel like that was the whole contest. If this cahnot be started this year, it will begin next soring.
