Flint Hill 4-H met Monday for regular meeting. Mrs. Frank Cary helped the girls with making of gathered shirts. Mrs. Carson Liftard demonstrated the dry cleaning of woolen skirts. The 4-H club week committee reported 'a display at Bradford's Store in observance of National 4-H club week.
Sperryville I met Tuesday with Peachy Lyne presiding. Mary Lou Davis read a devotional. Plans were made for completion of windaw exhibit at Schwartz's Store. Demonstration given was making of an apron.
Sperryville II met Wednesday. Neville Wood, president, opened the meeting. Plans were completed for exhibit in Lea's store * with Judy Hawkins as chairman. Carolyn Turner and Judy Black conducted a quiz as program, for the month. Demonstration given was the Dry Cleaning at home.
Elisabeth Printz was elected song leader at Forest Grove 4-H meeting Friday. A display of 4-H project was shown at stare in Viewtown by this 4-H club. Girls began the work on a gathered skirt.
Miss Iva Byrd Johnson, clothing specialist from VPI, conducted a leader training meeting Thursday on the topic altering of patterns and pointers in cutting out a garment Miss Johnson showed group how to alter a pattern and applying of same principals in altering a ready made garment. Persons attending were Mrs. Jean GaUihugh, Mrs. M. W. Brown, Miss Nellie Johnson, Mrs. Ruth Orange, Mrs. Qarcoce Gough, Mrs. Mabel LtUard, Mrs. David Menchhofer, Mrs. Less Walter, Mrs. Catherine Riley and Mrs. Ruth Marlowe.
BRIDGE PARTY Mrs. R. E. Wood entertained at bridge cm Friday/ night with six tables arranged for die games. Those playing were Mrs. John P. Snead, Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer, Mrs. J. E. Keyser, Mrs. D. D.
