The annua) County Council banquet is being held March 13 at the fire house. This is the second banquet and tiie one held last year was a Mg success. A plate of turkey and all the “fixings” was served by 4-H dub girls. Food is donated by parents and Home Demonstration Club Women. The County Council helped to pay the way of the delegates to State Short: Course last year. We hope to have more attending this year. If we bad judging earns, we could send them in addition to our quota. All Stars are also not counted in the quota of two boys and two girls as delegates.
Each club in the county will try to make an exhibit or observe in some way, National 4-H Club Week which is from March 7-14. Last year some dubs made window displays, some made scrap books of projects they were taking. Ibis special issue of the Rappahannock News was to help weeks to learn the elementary facts

Contests are all judged on past records in a project and if some of our members who (think they have learned all there is to know about a project in a year could see some of the state prize winning record hooks they might wake up a little. Most of th^ state winners have carried the project anywhere from 4-10 years and are still improving on it. They could tell you that the first year's result or the second year's result were pretty small compared to their project now. * Some of our club members want the agent to do it all, show them how and do the work or let Mom and Dad take over when the going gets harder. Somebody else can serve on die committee, do a job for the dub, but they will just attend the meeting and miss a class. They are one reason that percentage of project
