Mrs. H. H. Aylor is staying in Arlington with her son, Joe Henry Aylor, and Joe, Jr., while Mrs. Aylor is a patient in Garfield hospital. She underwent ha operation last Friday. Ann Yates Aylor is at the Lee Highway hotel with her grandmother, Mrs. Howard, and Mrs. James M. Yates.

Mrs. Annie Taylor Bruce has been ill for the past month with a severe attack of sciatica at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ennis Brown. Guests who visited Mrs. Bruce over the week end were Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Bruce, Robert Bruce of Front Royal, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Griffith of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Judd of Luray, Mrs. Gordon Wayland and their son, Reginald Wayland.

Carder of Culpeper, who is the guest of Miss Nellie Johnson spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Beales near Culpeper. Mrs. j. H. Filling, Miss Mattie Rector, Nellie Johnson and Mrs. R. H. Carder were Culpeper shoppers on Thursday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Thornhill were supper guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thornhill and Mrs. •Cary Thornhill. Mrs. Will Butler# who has been staying with her son and daughterin-law, Mr. and Mrs. WilHe Butler of Brandy is now (the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Virginia Jenkins.
