One of the basic ideas of club work was “every member a demonstrator.” Every boy or girl whosuccessfully Completed a project or learned a r.ew thing should demonstrate it to another boy on girl. This has helped the 4-H Club to grow to bd the largest rural youth organization in the .United States.
The emblem, of a clover leaf represents the principles of scientific farming, rotation of crops, soil building and larger production and greater profits on less acres.. It shows a legume, clover needed to replace minerals from worn soil and return it to productivity;.
So 4-H work is not only to make a farm youth love the land as a way to make a living but as a way to live, it is not to develop* land but to develop better citigens* not to develop more food or fiber bu more useful men and women.
