In 1932 a big Achievement Day was held aft the high school auditorium. It lasted from ten in the morning ‘til three in. the evening. Ushers were Morgan Johnston, Ned Jones and Downing Wood. Welcome was given by Mary Gardner Keyser, president of the County Council; professor Bowers, principal of die high schooF alsd gave a greeting. Invocation was led by P. H. Chelf and Bev. J. H. Abernathy. Group singing was led by Miss Helen Drinker. Misses June Kibler and Josephine Hawkins of the Woodville Club gave a clothing demonstration and the SperryviUe Club gave special music.
