A clipping from he State 4-H News letter tells this: “The party assembled in Washington, September 16th and spent the afternoon sight-seeing in the capitol. C. L. Chanbers accompanied 'them onHhe trips over Washington.

The morning of the 17th was spent in Baltimore, where they were entertained at luncheon by Mr. Vaden, president of the Federal Land Bank.

The party left Baltimore at 1:45 and reached New York at 4:55 tha)t afternoon. The twenty-four hours spent in the world’s largest city was ’filled with interesting experience for these Virginia club members. The delegation reached Springfield on the evenihg of the 18th when the fun of mingling with club members from other states began. They were welcomed by Eliza Copenhaver and L. M. Walker Jr., who were Virginia’s delegates to the Leadership Conference the previous week.
