(The reapplication came as a result of irregularities in the earlier approval procedure. The supervisors issued the previous building permit without site plan approval from the planning commission as called for by the county’s zoning ordinance.)
Along with a unanimous vote on the second building permit, the supervisors approved the concept of a five-year site plan submitted by the owners of the ski area. The plan shows new ski slopes, two small support facilities, and additional trails but no intensive development, such as condominiums, on the 300 acre tract.
On the building permit application, Luke noted, the value of the snowless gravity slide is estimated at $300,000. Completion date for construction is set as May 1, 1980.
In the area of public rather than private construction, the supervisors agreed to include $12,000 in the county’s 197980 budget for renovation of the old clerk’s office.
