Mrs. A1 Harrup of Amissville was matron of honor. Her gown of yellow eyelet was trimmed with grosgrain ribbon and she carried a basket of yellow daisies.

The bride’s mother wore a light blue formal gown with a white orchid. The bridegroom’s mother chose a formal aqua gown and wore a white orchid.

Ronald Shelton of Verona was best man and ushers were Martin Lorin of Norfolk and Ben Ward of Chesapeake, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Hostesses were Mrs. Don Wells of Hampton and Mrs. Shirley Woodward of Alexandria, both aunts of the bride.
