Superintendent William Bloomer detailed the need for the additional 16,000 square feet of space to an audience of about 20, including Jackson District Supervisor J. R. Latham. Dr. Bloomer emphasized repeatedly that all of the proposed expansion, with the exception of the green house and horticulture room, is needed immediately.
“At the present time, every classroom is used every period of every day,” said Bloomer. He added that teachers currently must leave their classrooms during planning periods and take their work with them to the library or the teachers lounge.
