jtould be $22,500 the first year, dropping annually until it reached $1,125 in the 20th year. He added that outside federal funds may be available to defray part of the costs for building the green house and horticulture classroom.
Noting that RCHS met only minimum state standards in most areas, Ron Wiley asked how the school fared on preparing students for college.
“Some do very well, some have to struggle and some drop out,” Bloomer replied. Pointing to limited course offerings, Bloomer said that RCHS graduates with a maximum of three years of French must compete with students who’ve had four or five years. “Our students must have more fortitude, more inate ability...to reach the level of some of their competition,” he stated.
