Community Mental Health Center Director, Dr. Sharon Miller, says it is at such times when people need to feel they can come to their local community mental health clinic.
The services received are tailored to the need of each individual, said Jim McGarvey, Director of the local Rappahannock Mental Health Clinic. Visits may be as brief as one session. Or, counseling may continue for several weeks or months. There are some individuals, with more severe emotional difficulties, for whom lifelong supportive services are needed.
