To the editor:
S.O.S. is a group of students who want to help their school system better the schools. High school students are worried over the possibility of not getting accreditation for the school. Maybe you don’t know, but if the school loses its accreditation, everyone in high school or going in to high school that intends to go to college, will be affected.
We need more space than we have at the moment. Mr. Toth’s and Mr. Wingfield’s offices were originally designed as storage spaces. This gives you an idea of how crowded and cramped we are at the high school.
If we don’t keep our accreditation, many students may have to try to go to high school in a nearby county. I want to graduate from Rappahannock County High School but not if it means no college.
Questions that arose that were either asked or thought at Tuesday’s School Board meeting were how adequate would the alternative system be and what will the educational abilities as well as the mechanical abilities be in years to come? S.O.S. - Save Our Schools!
