SWCB Hearings
Public hearings will be held in Fairfax and Harrisonburg next week on the State Water Control Board’s handbooks for best management practices. The handbooks on agriculture, sources affecting ground water, urban and for&try activities and surface mining and hydraulic modifications contain detailed instructions for meeting water quality standards. „
Copies of the handbooks are available at offices of the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District in Madison, Orange and Culpeper Counties, all VP1 Extension Offices and all offices of the ASCS.
The Fairfax meeting will be held May 15 at the Public School Administration Office at 10700 Page Avenue. The Harrisonburg session will be May 17 at the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building at 345 South Main Street. Both meetings will begin at 8 p.m.
