Rappahannock County ljas been awarded a $9,000 planning grant by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), according to an announcement made last week by the Virginia Department of Housing.
The grant is intended to cover two-thirds of the cost of the county’s comprehensive plan, currently being drawn up by the RappahannockRapidan Planning District Commission in conjunction with the Rappahannock Planning Commission. The proposed 1979-80 county budget includes $3,000 for the local match with the remaining $1,500 to be covered by an “in kind” donation of services.
