wholesale power conunue xo increase because nuclear power development is curtailed or killed by governmental overregulation. America needs nuclear power to meet our requirements for electricity during the remainder of the century, and to cut our dependence on foreign oil which seriously jeopardizes our economic stability.
It was the cooperative spirit approximately 40 years ago that filled rural homes and barns with electric service—service denied for years to millions of people. I do not believe that the cooperative spirit is dead! I would urge our consumermembers to join us in writing our U. S. Senators and House members to urge them to reject moves that would kill nuclear power development. 1 believe our local people are as much a part of changing the world for the better as their fathers or grandfathers were when electricity first began to bring progress to this country.
