Not every concert offered during the year will appeal to every subscriber. Increased support, however, will allow the Association to present a wider variety of programs. The more subscribers the Association has, the more money the group can spend. Concerts cost and the more popular concerts cost the most.
In previous years, the Association’s membership has climbed as high as 1,500 but last year it dropped to only 900. Tbe annual membership drive is now trailing into its last days. Anyone who appreciates fine music should contact a Rappahannock representative—Frances Lyne (9878291), Dollie Biddle (675-3449, 9878390) or Lyda Jean Muth (9878287)—for information on subscription rates and programs for the coming year.
Without higher membership levels, the Community Concert Association cannot continue to exist for long. It would be a shame to lose this cultural gem through lack of community support and interest.
