are leaving because of what the Board did to Mr. Finch. Mrs. Fountain’s resignation has come since then.
But the Board cannot be held solely accountable for their actions. Mr. Ned Johnson is the Chairman of the Trustee Electoral Board and has been responsible for appointing these people in his usual dictatorial fashion. Judge Snead replaced one of the Trustee Electoral Board members last year and appointed another to replace one who was retiring.
I wonder what we can expect when it comes time next month to reappoint or appoint two members of the School Board? More of the same or will the quality of character change?

To the editor:
Your contribution of financial resources to support an essential community service is the purpose of this letter. Those ‘dear citizens and friends of Rappahannock County’ who respond to and support our fund drive and various fund raising projects are volunteers in the finest sense of the word.
It requires mutual volunteer effort if the Sperryville community is to be provided continuing Rescue Service. On the one hand, this mutual effort requires trained volunteers to operate the Rescue Squad. A lot of time and effort is volunteered to serve other human beings. On the other hand, it certainly requires many generous volunteers to donate the financial resources required to pay for the rescue equipment and associated expenses.
