The Front Royal Town Council has named Commonwealth's Attorneys George Davis from Rappahannock and Edward F. Greco from Warren County to head an investigation of the high speed chase and shooting incident that occurred April 23.
At their May 14 meeting, the Front Royal Council members voted unanimously to request the two Commonwealth’s Attorneys to “fully investigate the circumstances surrounding the April 23, 1979, incident whereby Front Royal town policemen gave chase to a fleeing suspect through Warren and into Rappahannock Counties.”
The council's action followed a request from the Rappahannock Supervisors for an investigation and report.
