Civil War
(Continued from Page 1) p.m. with artillery competition and a marching display by the Army of Northern Virginia. A group of Civil War enthusiasts organized along the lines of Robert E. Lee’s troops, the A.N.V. is commanded by Brigadier General Ripley Robinson.
Other groups from both the north and south will participate in the reenactment. Although most of the troops will be foot soldiers, several groups of cavalry and artillery will also take part.
The battle will begin at 1:30. Admission is $2 with children six years and under free. Concession stands will be operating but spectators are welcome to bring picnic lunches. Toilet facilities will also be available.
The battleground is located on Route 650 in Midland, in southern Fauquier County,
