With one major revision regarding four laning of Route 211 through Flatwocd, the Rappahannock planning commission on Wednesday forwarded the county’s first comprehensive plan to the board of supervisors with a unanimous recommendation for approval.
For all practical purposes, the court house was deserted during the required public hearing. Only Phil Irwin was present and. on behalf of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection, voiced “unqualified support” for the plan the single comment from the public at Wednesday night’s session.
The planners went over suggestions made at community meetings held last month in Sperryville, Washington, Amissville, Flint Hill, Chester Gap and Woodville which drew a total combined attendance of 50.
