Likewise Pauline Bruce voiced support for the Hampton District incumbent, adding that she’d been very pleased with Eldred’s performance on the board during the past year.
Henry Hundson said he supported Newbill Miller. “I won’t go into his qualifications.... Everybody knows Newbill,” he said.

Steve Critzer said he’d grown up with Miller’s oldest son and had found the candidate always concerned and interested in education. He described Miller as “a real fair man.”
