Jack Jenkins stated support for Miller, maintaining that “the kids aren’t getting the education that they should get.” Mary Ann Jenkins, George Jenkins Jr. and Barbara Jenkins added their endorsement as did Wallace Critzer, Nelson Lane, Pete Estes, H. S. Barksdale and Jens Tholand.
Speaking on his own behalf. Miller said he is distressed to see the divisions in Rappahannock and that he held no animosity towards those who opposed his appointment to the board.
