ATHLETE’S FOOT
Athlete's foot is caused by a fungus, which can effect the feet of anyone, not just athletes Some people have itchy, scaly feet for long periods and others do not seem to be bothered by this affliction. The main reason is that the fungus is an opportunists It needs a warm, moist environment to grow, and some people sweat much more profusely than others Wearing synthetic stockings (nylon and acrylics) can make the situation worse.
To prevent these infections, wear cotton socks, wash and dry your feet well, and powder your feet to help absorb the moisture Once the fungus has started, seek professional help in curing it. tor it can eventually get under the nails, where it becomes far more difficult to cure
