To the editor:
As you and many of your readers are aware my wife and I. together with a number of our neighbors who have the misfortune of living next to the Pentecostal Campground near Castleton, have been attempting for almost two years to get the appropriate officials of Rappahannock County to enforce the provisions of the 1973 Zoning Ordinance.
After taking our case to the Supreme Court of Virginia last June and successfully obtaining an injunction restraining the County from implementing the decision of the Board of Zoning Appeals, our attorney was approached by the attorney representing Rappahannock County who inquired as to whether or not we would agree to a settlement of the case if the Board of Supervisors enacted certain amendments to Article Six of the Zoning Ordinance which would prohibit campgrounds in the Residential Subdivision Zone in which our property is located.
Although we agreed to this proposal, the Board of Supervisors never passed the promised amendments, even though the Planning Commission held public hearings and UNANIMOUSLY recommended approval of the proposed amendments and even though there was NO OPPOSITION to the proposed amendments when
